The person behind the work

Not a faceless platform. An experienced person accountable for delivery.

Stephen's career spans more than four decades of sales, marketing, trade publishing, events, business development and entrepreneurship. He founded Digital Synergy in 1987, leading marketing and digital-communications work for corporate and smaller-business clients.

He has also developed business matchmaking platforms and, more recently, built working web applications using AI-assisted engineering, structured specifications and testing. That hands-on approach now underpins MzansiChat's WhatsApp implementations.

Why it matters to clients: the starting point isn't a list of software features. It's understanding where enquiries come from, why customers don't return, what staff can realistically handle and how to improve that journey without adding unnecessary work.

Experience in practice

We know what the real setup takes.

It is easy to promise an automated customer journey. It is a different job to build the routes, test the conversations and make sure the business can actually use them.

Quick CutsHair salon · Johannesburg

Our work with Quick Cuts includes the detailed foundation behind a permission-based WhatsApp growth programme:

  • Cleaning and organising historical customer contacts while separating stored numbers from marketing permission.
  • Building and testing WhatsApp journeys for website, Google, Facebook, Instagram and local-community enquiries.
  • Configuring customer opt-in, verified first names, unsubscribe handling and handover to the salon's existing booking line.
  • Preparing approved message templates and a QR-to-WhatsApp Google-review journey.
This example describes implementation work, not a claim of verified additional bookings or revenue. Quick Cuts has authorised us to name the business.
How we work

Clear scope. Less work for you.

Owners provide their business facts and approve the marketing. We take care of the implementation, preparation and ongoing management.

01

Understand the opportunity

We start with the services, customers, existing channels and business outcomes worth improving.

02

Build and test properly

We configure the WhatsApp journeys, source tracking, consent controls and handover, then test the path a real customer follows.

03

Keep the marketing moving

We create channel-tailored content, manage permission-based subscriber campaigns and improve the programme from actual results.
